Mission Statement

We built a prototype of the SAFELINK websites to address the problem that people do not feel safe on NYC transportation. Our idea for a MVP is allowing commuters to report problems they encounter during transit.

We are concerned about creating a safer environment for commuters and excited about making a positive impact and encouraging commuters to use various transportation means.

About Us

SafeLink is an application created by a group of six college freshman girls, Laila Basyouni, Monica Disilvestre,Eniola Kadejo,Takia Mohinuddin,Gabriella Rodriguez, and Gracie Zheng. The website was made in order to ensure and prioritize the safety of MTA consumers. SafeLink roots came to be through the creators interviews of both New Yorkers and Tourists about their safety level when traveling with the MTA transportation. The interviews had shown that 80% of the people interviewed did not feel safe traveling on the MTA. Safelink is meant to give its consumers an easy access to authorities when the fear of safety enters. We hope that the website is useful and helpful whenever one is on the transportation.
